Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme

One of the first announcements by the government relating to support for SMEs was changes to Statutory Sick Pay to allow SMEs to reclaim up to 2 weeks SSP if someone was off due to coronavirus.

The rebate scheme for SSP will be launched online on 26th May 2020 (Tuesday after bank holiday).

The scheme will enable employers with fewer than 250 employees to claim coronavirus-related Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
