Increases to National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage

The Government has accepted the Low Pay Commission’s recommendations to significantly increase the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates from next year, leading to over 3 million workers getting a pay rise.  For the first time, the Low Pay Commission’s took into account the cost of living, including expected trends in inflation up to March 2026, when recommending the new rates.

The annual increases to the minimum wage and national living wage with effect from 1st April 2025 are as follows:

The accommodation offset will be £10.66 per day (an increase of 6.7%).

This will be the largest ever increase in the minimum wage in cash terms.
